Success of the Website!

Hits on the website are running at 15,000 to 30,000 a day, with peaks nearing 40,000 - an annual rate of over 10 million hits and still growing month by month! Thankyou for all your useful and often complimentary comments which have contributed enormously to the development of the site.

Production and distribution of the first videos (for group organisers)

The French team have almost completed shooting their video in Kent, with a predicted release date in May 2001. Meanwhile Invicta Media have been shooting the video in Nord Pas-de-Calais. The video will help you with planning group tours (or your own private travel). When completed, free copies will be sent to group organisers, e.g. schools and youth groups in Kent, club secretaries, travel trade. If you are a group organiser, make sure you are on on our mailing list by sending us an e-mail to register your interest (or 'phone 01304-826040). Copies will also be available by mail order from Invicta Media at cost price.

Research on use of video in tourist promotion

When we were planning this project, we noted research in 1996 on the groups market segments in France and Belgium - carried out with finance from Kent County Council, British Tourist Authority, South East England Tourist Board and Canterbury City Council:
"Video in mother tongue scored surprisingly highly; it is perhaps an under-used, or under-distributed medium."
