Reconstructions of a local village in the first millennium

Major archaeological site
Peering into a hut built just as it would have been when this was part of the Roman Empire, you can just imagine what the everyday life of the cartoon hero "Asterix the Gaul" was really like.

Here archaeologists have reconstructed the work and surroundings of potters, weavers, thatchers and other early craftsmen from evidence found on site in their excavations.

Displays and regular demonstrations and shows help bring it to life. The site covers 10 centuries of history from the Gallo-Roman period to the beginning of the Middle Ages.
