Historic industrial railways: diesel loco in running order	Denis Papin Named after the French inventor of the steam engine, the Centre commemorates the North's industrial past. If your interest is trains, there are models and layouts; also real locomotives from different eras - the prize exhibit is the "Super Pacific Nord", a railway legend. Some can be seen running on certain days. Mining Based on the old pithead of Oignies No.2 mine, you can explore exhibits about how coal was mined and the lives of the miners.
