Hauts de Montreuil - A gorgeous hotel in lovely
surroundings. The staff are friendly and will happily cater
for large groups. The best place I have been on
         holiday... Reviewer - George Ostridge

  What
a wonderful weekend. Although the accommodation is only
reasonable the food is out of this world. Beware the wine
prices.. Reviewer - '52 year old adventurer'
An exception to these good reports
         is "Francophile fom London'"s experience:

  Very
disappointing.Having read so much about the food, it was
upsetting to eat food that seemed to patronise the English.
We are not to be duped. The quality of ingredients was poor,
and the price high. Service was fast and furious. The sad
thing was that the majority of customers were English and
appeared willing to accept the rudeness of the food.If we
had paid for the E70 tasting menu I would have been livid. To
experience real French cooking visit Le
         Grenouille. The rooms
were basic, but clean, although our mattress was past its
sell buy date. In addition there was a charge for
parking. The overall impression was a hotel catering for the
average stereotypical English tourist/golfer who knows no
better. The hotel has little to recommend it , although the
West Indies Bar(Cuban) was a delight.

On the other hand, "Ray Wild Bon
         viveur" has nothing but praise:

  Stayed
here many times and never been disappointed with any aspect
of the visit. Food and wines are exceptional. On our last
visit when we entered the restaurant the waitress recognised
us and ran over to us with an effusive welcome. We lost
count of the number of kisses! Reviewer - Ray Wild Bon viveur
