You are standing in a traditional French village bakery, watching master baker André TRUPIN's daily task - fashioning croissant dough by hand. He has been baking since 4.30am. His neighbours will be coming in to buy croissants for their usual breakfast, eaten with a bowl of strong coffee. |
You will see his 80-years old wood-fired oven, as the irresistable smell of new-baked bread wafts round the family-run workroom. At the end of your visit, you'll take away a French baguette, a croissant and a piece of the regional speciality "tarte". |
